Summer Packet Information
Dear Students:
North Hunterdon High School and Voorhees High School Math teachers have created a summer math packet to practice and enhance your understanding of mathematics.
Students are encouraged to complete the summer math packets that correspond to their high school math placement level (CP, Adv, Honors, AP) and designated course. In order to alleviate the stress for your child this summer, this packet will not be counted as a test or quiz grade for the first marking period as in previous years. This packet will be counted as a minimal impact grade for the 1st marking period of the school year. Teachers recommend that students attempt the packet in order to establish an understanding of what concepts students may need further instruction on this fall. The packets are due on the first day of school.
The Mathematics Department considers this summer packet an important part in academic achievement and encourages you to take it seriously. The packets for all math classes can be found on the North Hunterdon Math webpage (http://www.nhvweb.net/nhhs/math/) and the Voorhees Math webpage (http://www.nhvweb.net/vhs/math/).
We wish you a safe and enjoyable summer, and we look forward to continuing our tradition of academic excellence.
Sincerely,
Stacy Ditze

How Can I Be Successful In Math?
Parent’s Guide to Student Success
The Math department is comprised of an excellent team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about teaching math and know the advantage it gives students to have a solid mathematics background. Courses involving Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, Discrete Math, and Computer Science are all available for students to explore. We strive to have students:
- Learn to value mathematics
- Develop confidence in the ability to use mathematics
- Become problem – solvers, not answer finders
- Learn to communicate mathematically
- Know how to reason mathematically
- Be college and career ready by the time they graduate high school.
