The North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District is comprised of North Hunterdon High School located in Annandale, NJ and Voorhees High School located in Glen Gardner, NJ. All together, we educate about 2,440 students from 12 different municipalities. We also have one of the largest Board of Education in the state with 12 members, who each have a weighted vote.
Our high schools are nationally ranked amongst the best public high schools in the country and we are currently in the top 40 high schools in the state of New Jersey. Both high schools have been selected as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education, with North Hunterdon High School receiving the honor in 2001 and Voorhees High School in 2015.
We strive to provide our students with every opportunity to succeed through our diverse and rigorous curriculum, which includes vocational courses at nearby Hunterdon County Polytech, our numerous student activities, and our highly successful athletic program.

- Our district covers approximately 178 square miles of northern Hunterdon County, NJ. We border Morris, Somerset, and Warren Counties. We are one of the largest school districts in the state in terms of area.

- We employ over 450 full time staff with over 50% of our faculty having Master’s degrees in their field.
- 83% of the North Hunterdon Class of 2023 and 79% of the Voorhees Class of 2023 have indicated they will be pursuing post-secondary education. The district has an average 97% graduation rate annually.
- Over 70% of our students participate in athletics and about 60% are involved in student clubs and organizations.
- Our high schools are the cornerstone of the community with over 100 groups using our facilities throughout the year.

District Goals for 2024-2025 School Year:

- To increase student engagement and academic performance by setting high expectations, providing challenging and relevant learning opportunities, and creating a supportive and positive learning environment.
- To create, administer, examine the results of, and (if necessary) modify common assessments for English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
- To maintain focus on addressing students’ mental health challenges and appropriately connecting students and families with appropriate school and community support services.
- To maintain an inclusive school environment by actively engaging with the community to better understand its diverse perspectives, needs, and cultures. This understanding will then be used to inform and adapt our programs, policies, and practices to ensure they reflect and respect the richness of our community.
- To improve long-term financial sustainability of the existing and upcoming Hunterdon County Vocational School programs by negotiating a contract for the full-time program agreements that are expiring June 30, 2025.
- To reduce student chronic absenteeism by examining existing policies and procedures and making recommendations for changes.
