Welcome to the Fine Arts Department here at North Hunterdon High School, where students learn lifetime fundamental art techniques and also the history of art!
The Visual Arts Department aims to instill lifelong learning through an introduction to the world of Visual Art and an array of related career possibilities. Through active participation in various art projects, both two and three-dimensional, students are challenged to become creative problem solvers, critical thinkers and decision makers. Students are encouraged to be introspective, and to explore their ideas and express their views, therefore becoming better acquainted with themselves and gaining self-confidence. Some of the events during the year include: Seasonal Displays at our Municipal building, Showcase at the Hunterdon Art Museum, Congressional Art Exhibition/ Competition, Group shows at other schools such as The Pingry School and Mt. Holly, Student Participation in THAT (an art tour throughout Hunterdon County), Many National Art Honor Society Exhibitions in our student gallery and hallways, etc.
