Do I need a calculator and if so, which calculator should I use?
Graphing and Scientific calculators are required for all math courses taken at North Hunterdon. It is recommended that students purchase their own calculator to be used in class, but if you are unable to do so, the school will provide you with a calculator to use for the year. In each math class, students will be required to complete a calculator contract if a calculator is borrowed. Students are responsible for the borrowed calculator and agree to the following:
- The calculator will be used on homework assignments and to prepare for exams.
- Student are responsible for the calculator for the duration of the school year.
- Students will be required to maintain the calculator in good working order, which includes installing new batteries when needed, and return it by the end of this school year.
- Students who fail to return the calculator in good working order by the due date will be required to reimburse the school district for the cost of a new, replacement calculator, $120.
