- North Hunterdon students will participate in the annual NJ Youth and Government Conference in Trenton, NJ in the spring. The students model the activities of the New Jersey State legislature researching, writing, debating, lobbying, and voting for proposed legislation. The legislation is either vetoed or signed into law by the Youth Governor upon consultation with their cabinet. The legislation is also reviewed by a Youth NJ Supreme Court. Students perform their duties and roles at the NJ State House in Trenton. Participation in the NJ Youth and Government program encourages political efficacy and civic duty.
