Device you can Bring

Instead of using the Chromebook provided by the school, you can elect to bring your own Chromebook. They are many different models of Chromebooks and you may choose something different than what the school offers.

We currently support any Chromebook LAPTOP listed on this page:

https://www.google.com/chromebook/discover/  (external link)

Please note that the page above include Chromeboxes (desktop format), Chromebases (All-in-one desktop format) and Chromebit (adapter). You can use the “MORE FILTERS” option on the page to only list LAPTOP Chromebook (choose “Laptops” on the filter option).

If you plan to bring your own Chromebook and be part of the 1:1/BYOD program, please consider the following:

  1. BYOD devices will be enrolled to the nhvweb.net domain during registration. This requires the device to be wiped-out. Local data will be erased during registration. All information should be backed up to the cloud prior to bringing your BYOD device for enrollment.
  2. Other devices such as iPads, Android Tablets, MS Laptops, Surface, Apple laptops or Kindle devices are not allowed at this time.
  3. If your purchase your own Chromebook, make sure you redeem any offers on your personal account prior to bringing to school for enrollment. The district-provided account is not able to redeem special offers that might have come with your Chromebook (e.g. 100GB of Google drive).
