You all may have already heard about the after-school Tutoring Program that allows teachers to tutor students seeking help with their classes. After moving through midpoint, several counselors may be reached out to by parents or students inquiring about additional help. Below is an outline of information relevant to what you should know as students schedule tutoring sessions or are seeking out help for classes they may be failing in:
- Students can sign up for tutoring sessions that are a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 2 hours in length
- Tutoring sessions will be held virtually via Zoom or Google Meet, beginning after 3:10 PM and ending by 9 PM; weekends are available, but the student should see the tutor’s availability before assuming they have the weekend available
- Time slots available are based on tutor availability; although, students may request teachers, but that does not mean the teacher is available; if the teacher is not available, then the student could try another tutor or use tutor.com
- Submit a form with at least 2 days’ notice
Please send this One Stop Google Doc link to students interested or in need of tutoring. See also the following PDF outlining the Guidelines and Expectations of our Tutoring Program: Guidelines and Expectations for Tutoring Program.
