Before the school year ends, the NHV Technology Department needs to collect all students’ Chromebooks in order to inventory the equipment and perform preventive maintenance over the summer. Only district-issued devices will be collected.
Chromebooks will be collected starting Monday, June 5th through Tuesday, June 13th in the Library. We are offering multiple days so you can drop off your Chromebook when you are done for the year and do not need it anymore for final exams. If you use your Chromebook until the second period on the last day of final exams; on that last day only, in addition to dropping off in the library, you can leave your Chromebook in your last classroom before you leave the building. There will be a bin in each classroom for you to drop off your Chromebook on June 13th only. If you are dropping your Chromebook any other day other than the 13th during the second period, please drop it off in the Library. There will be paper forms when you drop off your Chromebook for you to report any issues with the equipment. If you are filling out this paper form, please stick the form in the Chromebook so it’s all together.
For Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors, we will collect the Chromebooks without a charger. Graduating Seniors are the only group that need to return their Chromebooks with chargers and cases. You can drop off your Chromebook earlier than June 5th, if you so desire, in the Technology Resource Center.
You should save any locally stored files you want to keep to your Google Drive before turning in your Chromebook. During inventory/maintenance, your Chromebook might be updated and data-cleaned.
Students may pick up their Chromebooks during the summer. Exact dates and times for pick-up will be sent to you in a later communication. If you do not pick up your Chromebook prior to the opening of school, Chromebooks will be returned on the first day of school.
Any underclass students who need to utilize their Chromebooks over the summer for academic needs, must complete the form below and your assistant principal will email you to let you know if you were approved or denied. If you are approved to take your Chromebook over the summer, you must take your Chromebook to the Tech Resource Center within the collection week so it can be inventoried for the summer. You must use your school email address to complete this form.
