At its meeting on June 16th, the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District Board of Education hired Ms. Stacy Ditze as an Assistant Principal at North Hunterdon High School. Ms. Ditze succeeds Mrs. Carol Skidmore who retired from the district effective June 30, 2020. Ms. Ditze will oversee the Math and Science departments, the incoming Class of 2024, and serve as a liaison for the Hunterdon County Vocational School District’s Biomedical Sciences Academy that is housed at North Hunterdon.
Ms. Ditze joined the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District in November 2002 as a Special Education teacher at North Hunterdon High School. She also served as a lead teacher for the Special Education department from 2017 to the end of the 2019-2020 school year. She is trained in Restorative Practices and Crisis Prevention and was a member of the Freshman Advisory Committee for the last 13 years. She also served on the athletics Hall of Fame committee for 10 years. Ms. Ditze coached both Girls Lacrosse, 10 years as head coach and 8 years as assistant coach, and Field Hockey, five years each as head and assistant coach. She was voted Girls Lacrosse Coach of the Year three times. In addition to her experience at North Hunterdon High School, Ms. Ditze also worked at the Hunterdon Preparatory School as a teacher in their Summer Discovery Program.
Ms. Ditze received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Delaware in July 2000, and her Masters of Education degree in Special Education from East Stroudsburg University in May 2005. Last year, she completed her Masters of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Centenary University.
