The North Hunterdon High School Wind Ensemble is thrilled to announce its first-ever Spring Concert, an event that promises an evening of exceptional musical performances. The concert will take place on Tuesday, May 21, at 7:00 PM in the North Hunterdon High School Auditorium. Audience members can expect a night of dynamic performances that celebrate the rich tradition of wind ensemble music.
Under the direction of Mr. Gregory R. Boccuti, the ensemble has been diligently preparing a diverse program that showcases the talent and dedication of its young musicians. “We are incredibly excited to present this concert to our community,” said Mr. Boccuti. “Our students have worked tirelessly to prepare, and we are proud to share their hard work and passion for music with friends, family, and the greater community.”
The Wind Ensemble’s spring program includes works by Pavel Tschesnokoff, Samuel R. Hazo, Percy Aldridge Grainger, Girolamo Frescobaldi, Jaime Texidor, and John Williams. The concert will conclude with a performance of George Gershwin’s masterwork “Rhapsody in Blue,” arranged by the late Donald Hunsberger, featuring North Hunterdon High School senior Charles Lisa on piano. The concert will highlight the versatility and musical range of the wind ensemble with a mix of classical and contemporary pieces.
Admission to the concert is free, and all members of the community are invited to attend. For more information about the concert or the North Hunterdon High School Wind Ensemble, please contact Mr. Gregory R. Boccuti at gboccuti@nhvweb.net or (908) 713-4199 ext. 4201.
