Mrs. Katie Cudworth (maiden name Meo) is a product of Clinton, NJ, and, like her colleague Ms. Peterson, North Hunterdon High School. While earning her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College, she met and befriended her other colleagues Mr. Hopta and Mr. Boccuti! Mrs. Cudworth feels very fortunate to be surrounded by such talented, knowledgeable and familiar faces each day while here at North!
Mrs. C’s career dream has always been to direct choirs of the caliber of North Hunterdon vocal ensembles. Getting to conduct the choirs of which she was once a member (in the same room where she learned her first choral skills) is a true blessing. Mrs. Cudworth has worked as a guest facilitator of choral workshops at South Hunterdon Regional High School, Clinton Township Middle School, Clinton Public School, Union Township School, Round Valley School, Ethel Hoppock School, Franklin Township School, Belvidere United Methodist Church, and Immaculate Conception School. She cantors regularly at St. John Neumann Church in Califon and Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale. Mrs. Cudworth maintained a private voice studio based in Clinton for 12 years, and she studied voice with Steven Snow for six years.
Mrs. C’s heart also finds its home in the theater. Over the past two decades, she has performed in many productions with various schools and community theaters, including North Hunterdon Theatre Organization, Lebanon Valley College’s Wig and Buckle, Show Kids Invitational Theatre, Somerset Valley Players, Phillipsburg Summer Youth Theatre, Notre Dame Theatre Company, Light Opera of New Jersey, and Clinton Area Stage Troupe. In June 2008 she had the opportunity to be a part of Scott Alan’s “Monday Nights, New Voices” concert at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre in NYC. Several of Mrs. Cudworth’s former students perform professionally and have gone on to win awards and nominations through NJ ACT Perry Awards and Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards, as well as be accepted into artistic programs such as the Paper Mill Playhouse Summer Conservatory, Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir, James Madison University, University of Michigan, Carnegie Mellon University, Pace University, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Syracuse University, and Temple University.
Mrs. Cudworth enjoys caring for her 2-year-old daughter, Ellis, and performing with her husband in their band (The Power)!
