Teacher Biography

 Alida Greendyk

This is my ninth year as a Special Education teacher at North Hunterdon.  After raising my daughters I returned to school and in May of 2009 earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and my teaching certification in Social Studies K-12, as well as my Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification. I also have a Master’s degree in Special Education from Centenary College. I am highly qualified in History, English and Science, and am currently an in-class support teacher in Biology and Chemistry classes, and am the lead teacher for our pull-out (resource room) and LLD pull-out Biology and Chemistry students.

I have two daughters, 24 and 21. My 21-year-old is a senior at The College of New Jersey and my 24-year-old graduated and is working full time. For the past 25 years I have been breeding and showing Leonbergers, a rare breed of dog originating in Germany, and we share our home with six of these dogs.
