Teacher Biography
Madame Decker is back at North Hunterdon this year and is again teaching French. She earned her B.A. in French at Rutgers University and spent her junior year abroad at Université de François Rabelais in Tours, France. She did some graduate work at San Jose State University. She has 25 years of teaching experience at both the middle and high school levels.
She is a member of the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF), the Foreign Language Educators of New Jersey (FLENJ) and the American Council of Teachers Foreign Language (ACTFL).
Madame Decker used to be a dance teacher, teaching tap and ballet. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to French music, watching French films and hanging out with her family. Mme Decker loves Broadway Musicals! She loved helping with the winter musical by choreographing some of the dance numbers! If she has any time left, she likes to try to catch a Broadway play or a local musical theater production! In the warmer weather Madame likes to explore our National Parks, go hiking and kayaking.
