We have completed a planned upgrade to the District’s Internet bandwidth from 80Mbps to 200Mbps. This planned upgrade consisted in upgrading two of the three District’s Internet circuits and eliminating the third circuit. On June 20th, one of the circuits which was providing 50Mbps of Internet bandwidth was upgraded to 100Mbps. On July 3rd, a second circuit that was providing 20Mbps of Internet bandwidth was upgraded to 100Mbps. The remainder 10Mbps circuit was disconnected July 5th. Students and Staff will be able to enjoy the additional bandwidth since the first day of the upcoming school year.
This upgrade was planned not only in light of the new state requirements regarding online PARCC testing (100Kbps min for each student taking an online test), but also in response to increasing bandwidth utilization from students and staff.
