We are excited to share with you that we are organizing two senior trips towards the end of this school year. Your class officers and advisors have been working hard to plan these activities to help celebrate our amazing senior class. Students may participate in none, both or 1 of the senior trips.
DINNER CRUISE – JUNE 3
On May 29th we will be offering our seniors to attend our annual Dinner Cruise. This cruise is an excellent opportunity for our seniors to sail out on the Hudson to see the city skyline of Manhattan, Jersey City, and Hoboken. The boat will give the students an up close and personal look at the Statue of Liberty and other fantastic NYC sites. The students will enjoy entertainment from a DJ on board along with a buffet dinner and soft drinks/water. We will be picked up by the charter buses here at Voorhees between 3:30-3:45 pm (All students should be here by 3:30) and going to the dock to pick up the “Spirit of New Jersey” at 1500 Harbor Boulevard, Weehawken, NJ 07086. We should arrive back at the school around 10:30 PM. The cost for this trip will be $100 per student.
DORNEY PARK – MAY 30
On May 30th we will be offering the seniors to attend a trip to Dorney Park. We will meet at the school at normal time and have a bagel breakfast in the cafeteria. We will then be picked up by the buses at 8:30 AM and head to Dorney located in Allentown, PA. The students will enjoy the park from 10:00-4:00 and then be loaded back up on the buses at 4:30 to return to VHS by 6:00. The cost for this trip will be $50 per student.
SENIOR TRIP SALES:
Students will be asked to turn in their permission slips and payment during the week of March 17 during lunch mods (L1/L2) in room 135. The class advisors and class officers will be set up (just like we did for prom) for seniors to come into room 135 to turn in a completed permission slip and payment for one or both of the senior trips. We will be available all week (March 17-21) during both lunch mods. Students who purchase tickets during this time frame will be guaranteed a space on the trip. ** FORMS TURNED IN AFTER THE WEEK OF MARCH 17-21 WILL BE SUBJECT TO FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED OF REMAINING BUS SEATS THAT ARE LEFT AND THERE WILL BE A $10 ADDITIONAL FEE FOR BOTH TRIPS **
