The Voorhees High School Consumer Bowl team has again won the Hunterdon County High School Consumer Bowl championship, defeating North Hunterdon with a score of 205-40 at the Hunterdon County Administration Building in Flemington on Friday, January 31, 2014. The NJ High School Consumer Bowl is an educational competition for high school students across the state. It was established in 1997 to educate teens about fraud and other issues in the marketplace, using a game show format.
The Voorhees team consists of: Sam DeFabrizio – Captain, Valerie Noonan, Charlie Shea, Chris Compton and Todd Jobson. Their advisor is Mrs. Debbie Hunt.
Judges included: Frederick Brown – Hunterdon County Sheriff, Mary Melfi – Hunterdon County Clerk, Susan Hoffman – Hunterdon County Surrogate, and Andrew Tucker, Division of Consumer Affairs Investigator.
