As we prepare for the reopening of school for the 2020-2021 school year, parents are required to fill out a form in Aspen specifying if their child(ren) will be following the hybrid instruction schedule or be on 100% virtual instruction.
As outlined in the reopening plan I shared with you last week (see Section 1 of the plan), there are two schedule options: 1) Students follow the hybrid schedule of in-person and virtual instruction, coming into school on alternating weeks, or 2) Students stay home on 100% virtual instruction following the same bell schedule as students on the hybrid schedule.
To confirm the instruction schedule for your child, please log into your parent Aspen account, click on Page Directory on left hand side, then click on Reopening Forms. In this section, you will complete the Attendance Option Form to select Hybrid or Virtual. You need to complete the form for each child in the high school district.
Deadline to complete this form is Monday, August 10th. You can change your selection in the future. Please note that if you change from Virtual to Hybrid and your child will now be coming back into the building, that change will take effect in 7 days so that we can make the proper arrangements in classrooms. If your child switches from Hybrid to Virtual, that change can take effect the next day. We just ask if you are changing your instruction schedule selection, that you or your student inform his/her teachers of the change.
