Congratulations are in order for fourteen students from the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District that were recently selected to participate in The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Honors Wind Ensembles! Band directors from over 40 New Jersey schools nominated their top students for these groups and the TCNJ music department selected over 150 students to participate.
Students selected from North Hunterdon High School include: Lucas Holbrook (trumpet) performing in the Honors Blue Wind Ensemble; Stephen Kotran (flute), Mackenzie Holk (clarinet), Lillian Fasciano (alto saxophone), Ryan Cowell (baritone saxophone), and Miles Burns (bass trombone) performing in the Honors Gold Wind Ensemble.
Students selected from Voorhees High School include: Florie O’Brien (flute), Simon Rainey (bassoon), Tristan Dornbusch (alto saxophone), Juliann Bonomi (percussion), and Jessica Rodrick (percussion) performing in the Honors Gold Wind Ensemble; Amanda Kranich-Schaefer (baritone saxophone) and Hannah Iannace (horn) performing in the Honors Blue Wind Ensemble; and Cody Evans (trombone) performing in the Honors Jazz Band.
All 150+ students selected met for the first time on November 12, 2023 and completed a full day of rehearsal at TCNJ. On Sunday, November 19th, the honors ensembles each had a performance during a free concert at the Kendall Mainstage Theater at The College of New Jersey.
