On Saturday, September 22nd, the Voorhees High School Marching Band competed at the Hunterdon Central Band Competition. The Viking Band performed their 2014 field show, The Pyramids of Egypt, and came in first place out of the five Group IIA bands (bands with up to 55 members) that were competing that evening. In addition to coming in first, the Viking Band also won awards for Best Visual, Best Music, Best Overall Effect, and Best Color Guard in their group. Their next competition will be at Somerville High School on October 11th. Congratulations to the band and good luck in future performances!
VHS Marching Band Takes First Place
