Congratulations to the Voorhees Youth & Government delegation who was named ‘Premier Delegation’ at the 2023 New Jersey YMCA Youth & Government Conference, held April 14-16! ‘Premier Delegation’ is only awarded to one attending school each year. While Voorhees has been awarded ‘Outstanding Delegation’ in the past, this is its first ‘Premier Delegation’ award.
In addition, senior Lauren Alligood, who served as a member in the Youth Governor’s cabinet this year, was also nominated to attend the selective Conference on National Affairs in North Carolina this summer!
This weekend’s conference was a three-day legislative simulation that offers more than 400 delegates the opportunity to debate pertinent state issues, engage in servant leadership, and most importantly, forge lifelong relationships.
