Voorhees Unified students and advisors participated in the Special Olympics’ annual Turkey Splash and Dash on November 18th for a fifth year in a row, this time coming away with two trophies for their fundraising efforts!
The Voorhees Unified team won trophies for Highest Team Participation with 45 members splashing into the Atlantic Ocean in Asbury Park as well as Highest Fundraising Team as they raised $15,863. For their high total, Principal Ron Peterson agreed to dress up as roller skating Ken from the Barbie movie!
