Reminder to All Winter Athletes that the Mind of the Athlete program is today during Block 6. All Winter Athletes should report directly to the Auditorium after Block 5, sit with their teammates and sign in on the sign in sheet passed around. All students who have study hall Block 6 should report to the New Cafe.

Attention anyone interested in playing in the intramural floor hockey league: Sign ups end TODAY at 2:25. If you have a full team or you’d like to be placed on a team, please email Mr. Makoski. League play starts on Wednesday 12/13. Anyone who is cleared for Intramurals can play on open hockey days.
The VHS Key Club is teaming up with the United Way to provide unwrapped gifts for Hunterdon County families in need. Please check your email for the signup genius and a list of items needed. All items need to be brought to VHS by TOMORROW.
Hockey Fans – The North Hunterdon-Voorhees Hockey Team is playing their first ever game TOMORROW night at the Flemington Ice Arena at 6pm. They are taking on Watchung Hills.
VHS Unified Theatre is presenting High School Musical Jr. on Saturday 12/9 at 6pm and Sunday 12/10 at 2pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance by completing the order form that was emailed to you or by seeing Mrs. Colangelo.
The Black Student Union will have their first meeting after school on Monday Dec. 11 in room 321, if you are interested and have questions, reach out to Audrey Devine or just show up at Monday’s meeting.

The newly approved Art Club is going to have an interest meeting on Wednesday 12/13 after school in the art room – 243.
The Voorhees Outdoor Pursuits Club will have its first meeting on Wednesday December 13th in room 247 after school. The OPC is for anyone interested in activities such as rock climbing, adventure courses, hiking, and more. See Mr. Makoski for more info or if you are interested but can’t make the meeting. ALL are welcome.
The VHS Music Department has some performances coming up in December:
December 12th is the WINTER INSTRUMENTAL CONCERT featuring Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble & String Ensemble. December 14th is the WINTER CHORAL CONCERT featuring Concert Choir, Freshmen Choir, Madrigals & Show Choir. Both shows are in the Auditorium at 7pm and are free admission.
Video Club will be having a general interest meeting after school on Monday 12/18 in room 245. Reach out to Mrs. O’Halloran with any questions.
ESEA is collecting bottle caps of all shapes and sizes for a recycling project. There are collection bins outside room 333 and in the media center.
Skiers & Snowboarders – If you are interested in attending the Smugglers’ Notch Overnight Ski Trip the weekend of March 1-3, please be sure to get in all the forms and payment to Mrs. Kerr in room 317. Please reach out to Mrs. Kerr or Ms. Luckhardt with any questions.
The Voorhees Key Club also has a Giving Tree in the main office with tags for children and shut-ins in our district. Please come take a tag, purchase the gift, wrap it and return it with the tag securely attached before Friday December 15 to the main office. This is not the same outreach as the United Way collection, as it supports specific people in our own North-Voorhees community.
Sophomores and Juniors – If you’d like to take a course at Hunterdon County Polytech next school year, the early decision deadline to enroll is Friday, December 15th. Applications received after December 15th will be considered as rolling admissions. Please check your email or see your counselor for more information.
