This year VHS Unified is hosting the Turkey Splash here at school! The Lebanon Township Fire Department is going to come to Voorhees High School TODAY to spray us with water! This event is still open to all students, staff, and family members. You can find out more information about how to sign up by seeing a Unified Club Member.”

Calling all Math-a-letes! The SECOND NJ Math League Contest is being held this week! Log into Google Classroom, (CODE: vio7mkf ) and complete the contest via Google Form. The contest will be open beginning TODAY and close on Friday 11/18/22 promptly at 2:30 pm
Hot Chocolate will be for sale before school TOMORROW. Students for Change is selling hot chocolate for $2 a cup – with whipped cream, marshmallows, and peppermint sticks.
Only TWO students have donated food to the Perishable food drive so far and we are in need of a lot more!! So far, Emily Denis is in first with 16.5 pounds and Emmett Weldon is in second place with 15 pounds.
Key Club is hosting a perishable food drive from November 14th-21th.
Donated goods will be used to prepare Thanksgiving meals for families in need throughout our community. Food can be dropped off in the bins outside of the main cafeteria between 7am and 3:10 pm on school days. The bins will be checked throughout the day and all items (turkeys and all the fixings) will be accepted. Make sure that you label items (or the bags the items are in) with your name. There will be three prizes associated with the perishable food drive:
- First place = 4 season passes to all home sporting events this school year
- Second place = 2 season passes to all home sporting events this school year
- Third place = 1 season pass to all home sporting events this school year.
The Drama Club presents Mamma Mia Thursday November 17- Saturday November 19 at 7pm. There will be a matinee performance Sunday 11/20 at 2pm. You can get tickets in advance by seeing Mr. Reynolds in the music area ($14 for adults, $12 for students). All tickets at the door
will be $15.
Student Advocates for Speech will be meeting on Monday during L1 and L2 in the media center – you are welcome to go during direct study or lunch but you must report to your lab.
Habitat for Humanity is having a bake sale on Monday, November 21st. This will occur after school. Don’t forget to bring money, everything will be $1

The VHS Key Club is working with United Way and helping with Holiday Hands, which provides gifts to thousands of Hunterdon County families. There is a SignUpGenius link that you were emailed where anyone can fill a slot and donate a specific item. Sign-ups are until November 28 and donations are to be brought to Voorhees High School no later than December 1. Donations can be dropped off in the Main Office. Seniors – Senior Trip info has been shared with you as well as your parents/guardians. Hard copies of the paperwork can be found in the mall area. Please be sure to bring it in sooner rather than later to Mr. Reynolds or Ms. Grodkiewicz.
