Congratulations to the Baseball team as they defeated Newton HS in the Hunterdon/Warren Sussex County Baseball Championship 3-0.John Wilson was voted the Tournament MVP. John threw seven shutout innings, gave up three hits, walked no one and struck out 14 as the ninth-seeded Lions repeated as Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex champions. .
The Lions scored all three of their runs in the top of the first inning. Matt Busher led off the game with a triple to center field and scored on a sacrifice fly to put North Hunterdon ahead 1-0. Following a walk to Jack Peterson and a single from John Macce, who was 2-for-3, Jeff Guile hit a two-run double to give the Lions a 3-0 lead, which was all Wilson would need.
