The Lions looked impressive in a season-opening victory. North opened the game by recovering an onside kick and scored on its first play from scrimmage, then retorted immediately after Summit took a second-quarter lead with another long scoring pass, and clinched it early in the fourth quarter with the game-winning drive. Busher completed 14-of-25 passes for 269, throwing two touchdowns to Jared McMahon, who caught five balls for 122 yards, and the quarterback ran in the winner, as North Hunterdon took a giant leap toward its goals, securing a 21-17 victory at Investors Bank Field.
