The Lions Cross Country Programs stampede the competition and capture the North 2 Group 4 Sectional Cross-Country Championships

girlsxc-sectional-champs-2016girlsxc-sectional-champs-resultsCongratulations to the Girl’s Cross-Country team for winning the North 2, Group 4 Sectional title on Saturday.  The girls have now won back to back Hunterdon Warren Sussex, Skyland Conference and Sectional titles.  The girls relied on another strong team effort across the board putting all 7 girls under 20 minutes to secure the victory. Sophomores Ellie DiMarcello (18:12.5) and Angela Kearsley (18:40.3) led the charge for North Hunterdon, which went 1-2-4-89.

North Hunterdon is now 2-0 this season vs. Ridge and the two juggernauts will again in the state Group 4 race next Saturday at Holmdel Park and at the Meet of Champions on Nov. 19 at Holmdel Park.

boysxc-sectional-champs-2016boysxc-sectional-champs-resultsA great team battle was waged by Ray Sellaro, Austin Frank, Gavin Richards, Dillon Adamy, Chris Fischer, Connor Berson, and Joe Gallo. Junior Ray Sellaro (15:59.88), Austin Frank (16:30.91) and Gavin Richards (16:31:85) led the charge for North Hunterdon, which went 3-9-10.

North Hunterdon will challenge Westfield again in the state Group 4 race next Saturday at Holmdel Park and at the Meet of Champions on Nov. 19 at Holmdel Park.
