Morning Announcements
Good morning, North. Today is Monday, September 12, a D day. Please rise for the pledge of allegiance.
• Do you like languages, culture, trying new foods, listening to music, meeting and helping others? Then the ESL Buddies Club is for you! We will have our first meeting on Monday, September 12th at 2:30 in Room 224. Stop on by and see what it all about! See Mrs. Naples with any questions.

• The Brain Bee club is having our first official meeting today, in the biomed room (128) from 2:30 to 3:10. We are going to be introducing our officers, discussing what our club is about, and doing some fun activities (that include candy)! Even if you have sports or have to leave early, please stop by to say hi and hear more about Brain Bee!

• Anyone interested in playing games from Mario Kart to ping pong and corn hole. Gaming Club will have its first meeting today in room 125 at 2:30.

• Intramural basketball starts today in the main gym. It runs on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30-3:00.

• Amnesty International will meet after school today in room 243.

• Model UN will hold its first meeting after school today in room 237. If you cannot make the meeting or have any questions, please contact Mrs. Niznik.

• The first Thespian Meeting will be tomorrow in room 016 after school. This club is for anyone interested in theater from acting to behind the scenes. We hope to see you there!

• Mindfulness club will have their first meeting on Wednesday, September 14th in the Media Center. Come check out what it’s all about, and learn some skills for relieving stress.

• Habitat for Humanity will have its first meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 14th at 2:30 in room 232. All students are welcome to attend.

• Are you interested in fine arts, arts and crafts, or anything creative? Then the Art Honor Society might be for you! We have workshops, exhibitions, events, volunteer opportunities, and more! We are holding TWO interest meetings for anyone interested. The first meeting will be today from 2:25 to 3:10. The second meeting will be Wednesday, September 14th from 2:25 to 3:10 in room 212. Both meetings will cover the same information so you only need to attend one.

• Order your Homecoming Pink Out shirts on the NHHS Cheer Instagram account, or in the Friday Fundraiser email, or place your order with any Cheerleader. The last day to place an order is Wednesday Sept 14th. Homecoming shirts will be delivered in the Mall Sept 27th through the 30th during Lunches.

• The first Diversity Club meeting will be held on Monday, September 19th at 2:30pm in room 220. The club will meet the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month. All are welcome to attend! Please contact Senora Morris or Mr. Franzyshen if you have any questions.

• Key Club will be collecting items for The Ronald McDonald House throughout the month of September. Items can be dropped off in the labeled boxes inside the main entrance and outside of the nurse’s office in the theater lobby. We will also be collecting at the Go Gold Football Game on September 9. Please see the flyers located in the mall for a list of items.

Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country team on a great opener at the Roxbury Invitational this weekend. Special congrats go out to Brayden Barro, Dave McKinnon, Jeremy Bavaro, and Asa Alderman on winning the “Fast Four” race. Special congrats also go out to Conor Brand and the JV squad on winning their event.
