This week we are celebrating our First Amendment freedom to read. At North we are free to read Maus (MOUSE) by Art Spiegelman. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, Maus is a memoir about a Polish Holocaust survivor told in graphic novel form. But in some schools and libraries access to Maus is restricted or prohibited. To learn why, stop by the Media Center to view our Freedom to Read display and enter our contest for a chance to win a Dunkin gift card.
