Yesterday, the fencing team competed in the district 4 championships and as a team they finished 2nd. This result qualified the team to the state sweet 16 tournament. The following three fencers also advanced to the state individual championships. Kylie McSweeney, Avni Kondra, and Janie McSweeney.
Congratulations to the boys track and field team who competed in the Sectional Championships this past weekend. Big congrats to Senior David McKinnon who was the North 2 Group 3 Sectional Champion in the 3200 meter run. David ran the fastest time in the state for group 3 this weekend. Also congratulations to our other two group qualifiers, Senior Brendan O’Brien placed 2nd in the Pole Vault, and Sophomore Brody Sible placed 2nd in the High Jump.
