• The computer science club will meet after school today in room 212.

• Come watch Unified basketball take on the North Staff tonight 6:30 in the Main Gym! Come see your favorite teachers and staff play against your favorite Unified team!
• This Thursday at 6:30 is the National Honor Society’s Trivia Bowl! Please consider coming to see the underclassmen, seniors, parents, and teachers compete in an intense battle of the minds. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door or during lunch over the next week, and all proceeds go to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. With great door prizes up for grabs, if you’re not at the Trivia Bowl next Thursday, then where are you?
• Studies show that Social Emotional Learning delivers long-term improvements in skills, behavior, and academic performance while reducing anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. SEL competencies are also critically important for long-term success in today’s economy. Sign up for activities this week! Anyone in attendance will be eligible to win free stuff like ear pods, water bottles, and waterproof speakers! Today’s theme is The Impact of Mindfulness on the Brain. Those interested in practicing mindfulness, please feel free to sign up for yoga today in the Media Center conference room (lower level). All students who attend will be eligible to win free stuff, too!
• The final Math league will be after school on Wednesday. Please enter through cafeteria B. See Mr. Nailos or your math teacher if you have any questions.
• All returning Girls’ Lacrosse Players, freshmen, and any new players – there is a Final Girls’ Lacrosse Interest Pre-Season Meeting being held Wednesday, March 8, from 2:30 pm-3:10 pm in Rm 130.
• Over the weekend the boys swim team had its Meet of Champions. A team of Alex Meyer, Tate Hersfeld, Lucas Abd, and Ricardo Cosano swam the 400 freestyle relay and smashed the school record by over 5 seconds to earn them 12th place in that event. North has never had a relay team place top 16 at this meet before. The team also had an individual high light, Ricardo Cosano, placed 9th in the 200 medlay event and 12th in the 100 freestyle event. Ricardo also broke the school’s 100 free record which has stood for 17 years.
• Gaming club night will be from 6 to 9 on Friday in the gold gym. We will be playing ping pong, corn-hole, chess and more. Come tryout Forte Night on our new group network. Bring your laptop and join the game. $5 gets you pizza, games and fun. See Mr. McKinnon for details in rm 125
• The musical showcased a cast, crew, and orchestra of over 80 students. Director, Mrs. Hopta, was joined by musical director, Ms. Peterson, and orchestra conductor, Mr. Hopta. Other faculty members Mrs. Decker, Mr. Willsey, Ms. Baxter, Mr. Dagnal, Mrs. Vida, Ms. Guidos, Ms. Ellis, and Ms. Cavo.
• Congratulations to our Wrestlers for Placing in the state tournament. Brendan Raley placed 4th place, Alex Uryiniak placed 5th, and Logan Wadle is a STATE CHAMPION!!!!
