It’s Day 2 of Freedom to Read Week. At North, we are free to read The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. The main character of this environmental fable “speaks for the trees” and confronts the Once-ler, a businessman who destroys a forest. Some communities have tried to ban The Lorax. To learn why, stop by the Media Center to view our Freedom to Read display, and enter our contest for a chance to win a Dunkin gift card.


Today’s week of respect theme is showing that everyone counts by wearing a number. Tomorrow’s theme is “sock it to bullying” by wearing crazy socks.


Attention Seniors: Sign up for the lunch and learn session today about Common app questions with Ms. Fisher in the counseling office.


There will be a thespian meeting after school today at 2:30 in room 016. Please email Ms. Cavo if you cannot make the meeting.


The environmental science club will be having a working meeting tomorrow, Wednesday in the wildflower garden by the theater entrance. Come dressed to work in the garden – new members are welcome, and service hours will be given.


New Jersey Youth and Government will be holding a meeting after school on Wednesday in room 243, please see Mrs. Voegele with any questions.


The Patriotic Youth Club meeting will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 !!! All are welcome!!!
The Spanish club will be meeting this Wednesday in room 221 after school.
Habitat for Humanity has a club meeting on Wednesday 10/4 after school in room 232. New members are welcome to attend as we discuss an upcoming fundraiser.

Mindfulness/Students for Change will meet on Thursday in the Media center classroom after school.


The ESL Buddies Club will be meeting Thursday, October 5 after school in Room 224. Help others and connect with other students. Come see for yourself what we are all about! See Mrs. Naples with any questions.


The Rho Kappa History Honor Society will meet this Thursday, Oct. 5th, after school in room 235. Contact Mrs. Niznik with questions.


Anyone interested in joining the Boys or Girls Swim Team there will be an interest meeting on Wednesday, October 10th at 2:30 in Cafe B. Any questions please contact Coach Schuetz or Coach Baratta.


All Current Sophomores and Juniors – A Hunterdon County Polytech Representative will be in the theater during lunch on Thursday, October 12th. Sign up in the Counseling Office with Ms. Kellum by Wednesday, October 11th.


Hello Seniors! The representative from Moravian University will be here at North Hunterdon, on Friday, 10/13 from 9:30-11:00 (15-minute intervals) offering an Instant Decision Day! There is NO application fee! If you have an 85% GPA or higher, and you are interested in taking advantage of this great opportunity, please see Ms. Fisher in the Counseling Dept. with a signed Transcript Release Form.
