It’s Day 4 of Freedom to Read Week. At North, we are free to read The New Kid by Jerry Craft. This Newberry Award winning book tells the story of an African American middle schooler who experiences culture shock when he enrolls at a private school. In some communities, groups have tried to ban The New Kid. To learn why, stop by the Media Center to view our Freedom to Read display, and enter our contest for a chance to win a Dunkin gift card.


To celebrate our week of respect today is “Don’t sweat the drama” day – so wear your sweats to school. Tomorrow will be “wear school colors day” so wear your green and gold.


Key club is meeting today 10/5/23 after school in room 135A. Please make every effort to attend.


Student Council will meet Thursday, 10/5 during L1 and L2, and after school in 151-A . You only need to attend one session. New members welcome!


Today is the last day to order your milk-can t-shirts. Order online at the booster club website.


Mindfulness/Students for Change meeting this week is postponed until next week.

The Rho Kappa History Honor Society will meet today Thursday, Oct. 5th, after school in room 235. Contact Mrs. Niznik with questions.

Anyone interested in joining the Boys or Girls Swim Team there will be an interest meeting on Wednesday, October 10th at 2:30 in Cafe B. Any questions please contact Coach Schuetz or Coach Baratta.

All Current Sophomores and Juniors – A Hunterdon County Polytech Representative will be in the theater during lunch on Thursday, October 12th. Sign up in the Counseling Office with Ms. Kellum by Wednesday, October 11th.


Any boy interested in trying out for the basketball team this winter should attend a brief informational meeting on Wednesday, October 11th in room 135A at 2:30. If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Rehrig.


Hello Seniors! The representative from Moravian University will be here at North Hunterdon, on Friday, 10/13 from 9:30-11:00 (15-minute intervals) offering an Instant Decision Day! There is NO application fee! If you have an 85% GPA or higher, and you are interested in taking advantage of this great opportunity, please see Ms. Fisher in the Counseling Dept. with a signed Transcript Release Form.
