Congratulations to our Biomed students who placed in the Northern NJ Regional Competition in various events this weekend – 7th place medals were brought home by Ohm Patel and Neeraj Venna, 6th place medals to Parker Tomlinson and Leona Joys, 5th place to Joseph Koyfman, 3rd to Jacob Derwid, and 2nd place Emmy Youchom-Tagheu and Jude Gepp! Great job Biomed!
Congratulations to NHHS senior Selina Zhang who was named by the Society for Science as one of the top 300 scholars in the Regeneron Science Talent Search 2024! This is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. Selina was selected for her project titled, ArTreeficial: A Novel AI-Integrated Solution to Reducing Invasive Spotted Lanternfly Populations.
The 300 scholars will be awarded $2,000 each and their schools will be awarded $2,000 for each enrolled scholar.

Congratulations to the boys swim team, over the past two weekends they had two tournaments in which 3 school records were broken.
A team of Lucas Abd, Aidan Chen, Ricqui Cosano, and Doug Hansen broke the 200 Medley relay record.
Lucas Abd also broke the 100 yard backstroke record and
Ricqui Cosano broke the 100 yard butterfly record, which has stood for the past 30 years.

If you want to be a Unified Leader next school year, the Unified Leadership Applications are due on Friday, the 26th to Mrs. Byron in room 121, or directly email the application to her. Applications are outside of room 121 and were emailed by Mr. Pellechio.
Cathy Bielat, the Enrollment Coach from RVCC will be here at North on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, for an Info Session. This session is open to both juniors and seniors. On Thursday, February 8, 2024, she will be here for the Application Session. The application session is open to seniors ONLY. The meetings will be in the Media Center from 9:43-10:38 on both days. If you are interested in either meeting, sign up with Ms. Fisher. For the application session you will need to submit a transcript release form before February 7. You must also bring your Chromebooks to both sessions.
