Special Education Parent Advisory Group
The NHV Special Education Parent Advisory Group, otherwise referred to as SEPAG is a parent committee established to assist parents and families of adolescents with disabilities. SEPAG is comprised of parents interested in providing input and feedback, and are interested in facilitating communication and cooperation among parents, guardians, and school officials. The ultimate goal is to enhance special education service delivery for students throughout the school district.
Membership is open to all parents/guardians of adolescents with disabilities. SEPAG is authorized to provide feedback and advice to the district regarding its special education services, programs, and policies and works in collaboration with the Special Services Director to promote a successful educational experience for our adolescents. SEPAG is designed to provide an open forum for parents/guardians to exchange ideas and develop ways in which to cope and share solutions to complex and challenging issues. SEPAG meets at regular intervals throughout the school year. The calendar and the agenda are parent driven. The district is charged with the responsibility of assisting SEPAG in maintaining its operation and activities.
